Wedding FAQ

Where are you located?
I live in Austin, TX.

How many weddings have you photographed?
I’ve photographed over 100 weddings and counting!

Do you shoot the wedding?
I am always the primary photographer! I will sometimes have an assistant or second photographer, but will always be the lead photographer.

How many photos do we receive?
It depends on the length of the wedding, and each wedding is different, but I usually provide between 50-75 images per hour of photography.

Do you provide videography?
I do not.  I concentrate on delivering the highest quality photos of every moment of your wedding, which doesn’t leave much time for taking video.

Do you do destination weddings?
I do! Please contact me if you are having a destination wedding and we can talk logistics.

How do you handle destination weddings?
Since it’s unlikely that we will be able to meet in person, we can schedule a video phone call to meet and plan the big day. I also like to arrive at least 2 days prior to the wedding in case there are any hiccups when traveling. If you decide to book me, I will let you know the travel fees based on flights, car rental and hotel.

Do you shoot JPEG or Raw?
I always shoot raw images.

What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time?
You can always add additional time. I never book any other events on the day of a wedding.

When can we expect to see our photos?
I usually deliver photos within 4-5 weeks.

What rights do I have to the digital prints?
You can use the images however you see fit for personal use. You can print, modify and share with friends and relatives.

What if I lose my images?
I keep multiple backups to every image I take. If you ever lose your images, just contact me.

What type of camera/equipment do you use?
I currently shoot with a Nikon D780 and use a Nikon D750 as a backup. I use multiple prime and zoom lenses.

Do you have liability insurance?
I do!

How do I reserve you for my date?
I require a signed contract and a 25% deposit.

Do you travel to meet clients?
I travel within the greater Austin area. If you are outside of Austin, we can schedule a time for a video call.

Do you charge travel fees?
I do. Any wedding that is over 25 miles outside of Austin, I charge a travel fee of $0.50 per mile travelled.

Do you work with a second photographer?
You can add another photographer to any package for $100 per hour. Sometimes a second isn’t needed for the full wedding day, so after meeting and finding out the details of your wedding, I can offer a recommendation on whether a second photographer will be needed for the full day or for only a couple of hours.

How much do I need to deposit?
25% of whichever package you choose.

How far should we book in advance?
That’s up to you. I’ve had clients book me over a year in advance and some as little as a few weeks in advance. The sooner you book, the more likely your date will be available.
